This undeserving honor afforded her the opportunity to travel to countries such as Adis-Ababa, Ethopia, Paris, France, London, England, Port-au-Prince, Haiti. A number of Queens from the States joined her in Haitan Carnival where they had a great time. She continued to share, holding the honor of Miss Haiti enabled her to return to school after traveling many parts of the world to represent Haiti. Michaelle learned to appreciate the affluent lifestyle one can have if you focus on education.
When asked what being Miss Haiti meant to her, she stated, “the Miss Haiti International pageant exposed me to a life that I did not know existed; it helped me to get out of my shell and blossomed, I am very grateful to have had the honor of being a part of the Miss Haiti organization.” As per Dr. Pierre, the drive, the passion, and confidence she gained from being Miss Haiti fueled her to work even harder to achieve her academic goals.
